Athletics (Sports Union)
Dundee University Athletics and Cross-Country Club is a running club which caters for all abilities and athletic disciplines.
If you are looking to build your fitness or compete in National competitions, look no further. We are now a Scottish Athletics affiliated club and have close contact with our local track and field club, Dundee Hawkhill Harriers, who help us provide high-quality coaching for our athletes.
We have travelled to hill and trail races across Scotland, the BUCS XC Championships, SSS Winter Series races including Braid Hills Races and Scottish Athletics championship events. Our club has also had members representing Scotland in the Home Countries Cross Country and won a team silver medal in the Scottish Cross-Country Championships. We compete on the track as well and won the men’s 800m at the SSS Indoor Championships. We have previously proudly hosted the Scottish Student Cross Country Championships last at Camperdown Park.
As well as racing, our club hosts a variety of social events throughout the year and organises trips to local trails and hills for some varied running. We also hope to achieve club holidays through fundraising events throughout the year.
Overall, our main priority is making sure everyone feels welcome and that their abilities are catered for.
