DUBC is a club for its members. We train and socialise together. Last year, 2018/19, we won the Sports Union’s Club of the Year for the second time in a row – which had never been done before. Our club attends all of the main Scottish head races and now the early summer regattas are becoming more popular for DUBC to participate in. We have had crews competing up and down the UK, with crews also representing Dundee at BUCS regatta and the prestigious Henley Women’s. Last year also saw world record breaking fundraiser fun!

We start the semester with our Give it a Go sessions down at Inchyra, just outside of Dundee to show you what we’re all about. If you’ve never rowed before you’ll be taught by our fantastic student coaches, who run the indoor rowing and strength training, as well as all of the water sessions. Most of the club had never rowed before they came to uni, and now they can’t stop. If you’ve rowed before you’ll train with our strong senior squads. We are becoming a more competitive club but if competition isn’t for you we have fun social sessions once a week too. Or if you are small, chatty and fancy being part of the team- Coxing could be for you!

A social membership with DUBC is also an option if you still want to be a part of the family but not necessarily row. Through attending our notorious socials, like Pub Row, Super Saturday, and our Annual Ceilidh, not forgetting Wednesday nights you feel just as part of the team as everyone else.

Whether you want to be a casual member who just learns to row and have a good time, train hard and get those big wins, or just come for the social aspect DUBC could be for you!
