Judo

Judo is an Olympic Sport for all, where we learn respect for our partners and sensei. Judo or “The gentle way”, started by Jigoro Kano, revolves around throwing, choking and arm locking our opponents. Come and join to learn how to control not only your own movements, but a partner’s as well!

Judo is the perfect sport for anyone wishing to increase their fitness, build confidence, make friends and understand how the human body moves. DUJC members train hard and the club has a long competitive history with player’s achieving medals both at national and international events.

Our Judo ‘family’ are very sociable and friendly, so why not come and join our ever-expanding team of Judoka at Dundee University Judo Club? We’ll see you on the mat!
