Hello and welcome to the University of Dundee Sports Union!

I am delighted to welcome you to the University of Dundee. My name is Angelos Konstantinou, recent graduate from the University and the elected Sports Union President for this year. Sport has always been a big part of my life and has had a massive influence on my time at University. I joined the Squash club in my first year and was a member throughout my time serving on committee as men’s 2nd, men’s 1st and club captain. Joining a club has contributed to some fantastic experiences and has resulted in many wonderful friendships I will be treasuring for the rest of my life.

Joining a sports club is a huge opportunity for all students as it can provide a platform for everyone to meet new people as well as try new experiences. All students can chose between 45 different clubs so there is something for everyone. All of our sports clubs are friendly and enthusiastic about adding new members, regardless of ability, so you can join a sport as a complete beginner or a high performance athlete. If you are not sure about joining one of our many sports clubs we provide plenty of opportunities to joins us throughout the year through our ‘Campus Sports’ Events, the Charity Relay race, our ‘Give it a go’ sessions and our very successful ‘Brave Runner’ event.

Sport is vital for people to lead a well-balanced and healthy life! It is a great way for all students to destress, recharge their batteries and improve their wellbeing by improving their overall student experience. The Sports Union has an open door policy and we welcome new members at any time during year. I strongly encourage everyone to get involved and hope everyone has an amazing year!
